On the occasion of World Oceans Day, Control Union and Zero Plastic Oceans are joining forces to launch the world’s first third party verified label to avoid plastic waste reaching marine environments: the OCEAN BOUND PLASTIC CERTIFICATION. Based on international environmental standards and environmental label best practices, this third party verified certification is two-fold, aiming to capture Ocean Bound Plastics (OBP), plastics abandoned in the natural environment, while rethinking the value chain of plastics.
